    Charles Koole

    Charles has been in the Marine Industry for approx 22 years working mainly from a technical perspective, however also as skipper. He is familiar with various brands of pleasure craft from Mustang to Riviera & Searay to Sunseeker Yachts.

    Charles also has experience in a customer service role. In the last 15 years performing duties including Warranty & After Sales Care. In the last 7 years Charles held the Operations Manager title at Seatech Marine as a Volvo & Mercruiser agent.

    Possessing a wide and varied knowledge of mechanical and electrical facets of boating RMC Service is excited to welcome Charles to the team.

    Travis Cross

    After growing up immersed in the professional marlin fishing scene in Cairns, QLD and Papua New Guinea, Travis Cross embarked on a fulfilling career in the luxury motor yacht industry.

    Over 18 years, he demonstrated his dedication by climbing the ranks to Chief Engineer, taking charge of vessels up to 65 meters. Needless to say, boating has become an integral part of his life.

    Travis’s passion for the industry led him to R Marine Crawley, where his exceptional work in warranty management earned him a well-deserved promotion.

    Now, as a Project Manager with the RMC Service Centre, he leverages his extensive knowledge from both warranty and yacht operations on global voyages. His expertise and dedication ensure top-shelf experiences and service for our growing R Marine Crawley clientele.

    Trent Strochnetter

    Trent keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes at the RMC Service Centre.
    Whether he’s ordering parts, staying on top of stock, or helping improve systems and workflows, he brings a steady, organised approach that makes a real difference to the team.
    Always ready to lend a hand or find a smarter way to do things, Trent’s attention to detail and calm under pressure are key to keeping everything on track. Outside of work, he’s just as hands-on—spending his weekends working on cars or unwinding with a good gaming session.

    Del Doree

    Del has an enormous amount of engine maintenance experience on all modes of transportation which began at an early age after leaving school in 1986.

    In his most up to date mechanical service years, the marine industry was where Dell accumulated further exposure to engines and most recently specialising in Volvo Penta.

    Del joins RMC Service Centre as Lead Mechanic for the newly appointed Volvo Penta Dealer and will aide in establishing a functional workshop as RMC Service continues to broaden customer services.

    It is with a warm welcome Del joins our team and we greatly appreciate the valued contribution he will share with RMC and clients alike.

    Kyle Parry

    Kyle is a valued member of our mechanical team, currently progressing through his apprenticeship with a strong sense of focus and care. Known for his reliability and ability to follow procedures closely under the guidance of our lead mechanic, Kyle is building solid foundations in marine servicing and repairs. Outside the workshop, he brings the same discipline and determination to his interest in martial arts—always learning, always improving.

    Zach Ambrose

    We are thrilled to welcome Zachary Ambrose to the RMC Service Centre team as our new Apprentice Marine Mechanic. Zachary brings a wealth of knowledge, hands-on skills, and a passion for marine craftsmanship that will greatly benefit our clients and our service capabilities.

    Zachary’s journey into marine mechanics began at Cardiff High School, where he excelled academically, earning numerous awards in Physics, Engineering, and Software Development. His commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident in his ongoing education at Ultimo, Sydney TAFE, and his hands-on experience with some of the largest boats in Lake Macquarie.

    Professionally, Zachary has demonstrated strong leadership and technical skills. He has extensive experience in troubleshooting and repairing engines, servicing inboard diesel and petrol engines, and performing detailed maintenance tasks. His previous roles have honed his ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced environments, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of tasks.

    At RMC Service Centre, Zachary’s expertise will enhance our team’s ability to deliver top-notch marine repair and maintenance services. His dedication to safety protocols and his commitment to excellence align perfectly with our core values, ensuring our clients receive the highest quality of service.

    Outside of his professional life, Zachary has achieved significant personal accomplishments. He served as a Youth Referee for Northern NSW Football, where he was recognized for his outstanding contributions. His leadership and teamwork skills, developed through these experiences, will be invaluable as he joins our team.

    Todd Burgess

    Meet Todd: RMC Service’s Lead Shipwright & Marine Craftsman

    With over seven years at RMC Service, Todd has proven himself a dedicated and skilled Lead Shipwright. His passion for all things marine shines through in his work, where he consistently delivers exceptional results for our clients.

    Todd’s journey began with an apprenticeship at Riviera, culminating in 2009. He played a key role in the construction of the prestigious Riviera 75 and 77 models, honing his craftsmanship and expertise in yacht building.

    Beyond his achievements at RMC Service, Todd’s talents extend to designing and building competitive racing surf skis. His versatility also shines through in his experience crafting fibreglass ute canopies, where he even designed moulds for specialised custom fit-outs.

    Permateek Fabrication & Installation: Expertly revitalises new and pre-loved vessels with stunning Permateek decking. Electronics & Navigation: Installs and maintains 12v electronics and navigation systems. Vessel Maintenance: Provides comprehensive vessel maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Tender Cradle & Accessory Installation: Seamlessly integrates tender cradles and accessories for enhanced functionality. Nameboards & vessel lighting on boat names. Warranty: No.1 regarding being entrusted with rectifying and fixing warranty issues within the shipwright realm.

    Beyond the Workbench When he’s not at RMC Service, you’ll likely find Todd indulging his passion for fishing and boating or hitting the mountain bike trails. His love for the outdoors and adventure fuels his dedication to the marine industry.

    Allen De Beer

    We welcome Allen, our new apprentice in boat building.

    Allen’s communication, planning, and coordination skills will help us continue delivering top-notch service. His experience in maintaining operational facilities and supporting events speaks to his attention to detail and commitment.

    Craig Folker

    RMC Electronics welcomes Craig Folker as the new Electrical Project Manager, whose distinguished career spans 18 years at Riviera Australia.

    Craig’s journey in the marine industry began with an apprenticeship program at Riviera, where he quickly established himself as an exceptional professional. He was recognised as Queensland’s Apprentice of the Year at the 48th Queensland Training Awards in 2009, a well-deserved acknowledgement of his hard work, commitment, and passion for the marine industry.

    Craig refined his expertise in marine electrical and electronic systems by immersing himself in each of the electrical divisions at Riviera. Driven by his true passion for the industry, his knowledge on Riviera’s and they’re systems is outstanding. From the outset, Craig played a pivotal role in the electrical design team, contributing to NPD (New Product Design) initiatives, and as his tenure at the factory progressed, Craig assumed the role of Warranty Manager, traveling across the globe to resolve issues in some of the most picturesque locations imaginable.

    Before embarking on new pursuits, Craig served as the face of the Electrical and Electronics Division. In this capacity, he held the position of Manager and served as the primary liaison with new owners, guiding them through their selections for their vessels.

    Craig’s exceptional technical proficiency and professionalism have established him as a valuable asset not only within RMC Electronics but also throughout the marine industry. His journey from a passionate apprentice to an industry leader serves as a shining example of the rewards that dedication and genuine enthusiasm can bring to one’s career.

    When it comes to brands like Garmin, Czone, Raymarine, Victron, Fusion, Volvo, and more, Craig is a remarkable source of knowledge.     Richard Newman

    Richard is a seasoned marine electrician with over 25 years of experience in the industry. His expertise extends beyond the realm of marine electrical systems, as he has also worked on buses, automobiles, and in the mining sector. This diverse background has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of electrical circuits and their applications.

    Richard finds peace and tranquility in working on or near the water, which perfectly complements his love for the marine environment. When he’s not dedicating his time to ensuring the electrical systems of vessels are in top condition, you can find him catching waves or enjoying a swim at the beach.

    As a father of three water-loving children who keep him on his toes, Richard understands the importance of balancing work and family life. His kids share his enthusiasm for the ocean and are always eager to join him on his aquatic adventures.

Drawn to the intricate world of electronics, he sought out an apprenticeship in marine electronics, eager to turn his passion into a fulfilling career. With a background in electronics and communications, Jared excels in the hands-on nature of his work. Under Craig’s expert mentorship, he is learning to master marine electrical systems’ complexities, diagnosing issues, installing upgrades, and keeping our clients’ vessels running smoothly. Jared’s love for the outdoors isn’t confined to his work. As an avid camper and boater, he understands the vital role of reliable electronics in enhancing any on-the-water adventure. Jared’s dedication to learning and natural ability to observe and problem-solve make him a perfect fit for our team.
